The report further states that seamless switching between AR and VR modes will allow Apple's headset to have an innovative experience for the user and, in terms of computing power, Apple's headset will be two to three years ahead of competitors when it is expected to release in the fourth quarter of 2022. Look for Animojis and a VR FaceTime-like experience to be the new-age Zoom. The higher-end processor is expected to have similar performance and computing power as the M1 chip for the Mac while the lower-end processor would be in charge of sensor-related features of the headset. Ming-Chi Kuo goes on to state that Apple's upcoming headset will have two processors manufactured by TSMC, one being a 5nm chip and the other a 4nm chip. ![]() Kuo states that by utilizing the 96W power adapter, this proves that the headset will have computing power and performance levels of the Mac line. According to a research note by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo cited by MacRumors, Apple's rumored augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) headset will utilize the same 96W USB-C power adapter that is included with the higher-end 14-inch MacBook Pro.
